Q: Who can be covered by maternity insurance?

A: If you have paid maternity insurance for six consecutive months and continue to do so. If you signed Labor contracts with SWU, you are covered by maternity insurance, SWU and you both pay for it every month.


Q: What are covered by maternity insurance?

A: a. Medical Expenses (prenatal checkups, birth control or abortion, genetic testing for hereditary diseases, and childbirth and complications). Limit payments by hospital Level.

Q: How the maternity insurance (Medical Expenses reimbursement) work?

A: First, you should register for maternity insurance after pregnancy. The hospitals you go for prenatal checkups can do the registration. And the Health Insurance Office of SWU also happy to help for the registration. Tel: 68259840/68253920, Location: SWU Hospital lobby (at North Campus).

After the registration. Using your physical Social Security Card or your electronic health insurance code to pay at hospitals for the maternity visits, Maternity Insurance is automatically reimbursed at the time of payment.


Q: How the maternity insurance (Medical Expenses reimbursement) work for male employees who have the maternity insurance?

`A: Maternity insurance covers genetic testing for hereditary diseases and sterilization/abolition of sterilization surgeries for male employees who have maternity insurance. However, maternity insurance does not cover maternity care for male employee’s spouse.
